今回は、S seem(s) to V の seem(s) を seemed に換えて過去にスライドさせてみましょう。
It seems that S + V の seems を seemed に換えた書き換えは、もうすでにその2で解説済みですが、S seem(s) to V と比較するために、もう一度並べて掲載します。
全例文を書き換えると数が多すぎるので、抜粋して書き換えます。
退屈かもしれませんが、最後まで一通り目を通してください。
[It seems that S + V の場合]
that 節 は、時制の一致のルールを受けるので、
現在形 → 過去形
現在完了形 = have[has] Vpp → 過去完了形 = had Vpp
過去形 → 大過去形(過去の過去) = had Vpp
(英語は、過去完了と大過去は同じ形 = had Vpp)
※ Vpp = 過去分詞
[S seem(s) to V の場合]
時制の一致のルールを受けない = そのまま同じ
[日本語の場合]

ケンはジュンコが好きなように思われる[ようだ]。

どうですか?
It seems (that) S + V のほうが自由度が高くて使いやすいが、過去の場合は時制の一致というルールがあって日本人には使いにくい。
S seem(s) to V は、時制の一致がなくて日本語と全く同じ感覚で使えるが、自由度が低くて表現内容が限られる。
どちらも一長一短ですね。 (;゚Д゚)
