Living In The Countryside (田舎暮らし)

Recently, many people are opting to move out of the city and try their hand at country life.

最近、多くの人は都会を出て田舎生活をやってみることを選んでいる。
Country life has many advantages.
田舎生活には多くの利点がある。
For one thing, the air is fresh and clean, and there is plenty of peace and quite.

plenty of ～ = a lot of ～
quiet ： 静けさ、静寂、閑静 [名詞]
ひとつに、空気が新鮮かつきれいで、平穏と静けさが多くある。
Another important advantage is that, in many ways, country life is more economical than city life.

もう一つの重要な利点は、多くの点で田舎生活は都会生活より経済的であることだ。
You can keep a garden that will supply you with most of the vegetables that you need.
必要な野菜の大部分をあなたに与えてくれる[→ をまかなえる]菜園を持つことができる。
You can also keep enough chicken to supply you with eggs.
また、卵を与えてくれる[→ 産む]十分なにわとりを飼うこともできる。
Country life can be economical when it comes to building your house.

when it comes to Ving ： Ｖするということになると、Ｖすることに関しては
家を建てるということに関していえば、田舎生活は経済的なこともある。
Land and taxes are much cheaper in the countryside.

田舎の方が土地と税金がずっと安い。
In addition to these reasons, a country home can provide a good and safe place to raise a family.
in addition to ～ = besides ～ ： ～に加えて、～の他に
これらの理由に加えて、田舎の家は家族[→ 子供]を育てるのによい安全な家を提供できる。
Furthermore, after a long day at the office, a country home with its peace and quiet is a great place to come home to.
furthermore = moreover = besides = in addition ： その上、さらに、おまけに
さらに、会社で長い一日を働いた後、平穏と静けさのある田舎の家は、帰るべきすばらしい場所である。
It's not all a bed of roses though, country living does have its downsides.
not all ～ ： すべてが～という訳ではない、限らない
bed of roses ： 安楽な境遇[生活][暮らし]、よいこと
though = however ： けれども [副詞]
does ： 動詞の原形の前に置いて、その動詞を強調する
けれども、安楽な暮らしばかりではない[いいことばかりではない]。田舎暮らしは否定的側面[欠点]もある。
Often you may have to drive a long distance to find the things you need.
しばしば必要な物をみつけるために長距離を車で走らなければならないかもしれない。
The biggest drawback is the long daily commute from your country home to your office in the city.
最大の欠点は田舎の家から都会の職場への毎日の長い通勤である。
Most people living in the countryside use this commute time to read or study.
田舎に住んでいるたいていの人は読書をしたり勉強したりするのにこの通勤時間を利用している。
If you weigh the advantages against the disadvantages, the pleasures of country life make up for any of the inconveniences.
weigh Ｏ against ～ ： Ｏを～とはかりにかける → Ｏを～と比較検討する
もし利点を欠点とはかりにかけて考えると、田舎生活の楽しみは不便さのどれをも[→ どんな不便なことでも]埋め合わせてくれる。
