1. And everything connected with it is often used with verbs meaning like, dislike, etc. to provide emphasis.
meaning = which mean
and everything connected with it (それと関係のあるものすべて) は、重点を置く[強調する]ために、好き嫌いなどを意味する動詞と共によく使われる。
a. I enjoy folk art and everything connected with it.
a. 私は民芸とそれに関連したものすべてを楽しんでいる。
b. Mr. Brown said he hated playing poker and everything connected with it.
b. ブラウンさん(男)はポーカーとそれに関係するものすべてが嫌いだと言った。
2. Maybe is often used in conversation in place of perhaps.
in place of ～ ： ～の代わりに
maybe は perhaps の代わりに会話でよく使われる。
※ 話し手の確信の度合いは半々かそれより少し低いような感じがする。
a. Maybe I'll go to the art exhibition with you.
a. 多分、私は君と一緒に美術展に行くでしょう。
b. Maybe it'll rain tomorrow if the typhoon comes this way.
b. 台風がこちらの方にやって来たら、明日は多分雨が降るでしょう。
