spend 時・金 Ving ： Ｖするのに時・金を費やす、使う
spend 時・金 Ving ： Ｖして時間を過ごす
入門・初心者は上記のまとめを覚えてけほぼ間に合います。
例文を覚えましょう。
1. We spent a lot of money on the party.
2. I spent three years on this book.
3. We spent a lot of money preparing for the party.
3. prepare for ～ [プリペア] ： ～の準備[用意]する
4. I spent three years writing this book.
5. I spent the afternoon reading a book.

1. 私達はそのパーティーにたくさんのお金を使いました。
2. 私はこの本に3年間費やしました。
3. 私達はそのパーティーの準備をするのにたくさんのお金を使いました。
4 .私はこの本を書くのに3年費やしました。
5. 私はその(日の)午後を本を読んで過ごしました。
